Wish that I was on ol' Rocky Top...
Hey! Well today I got the promise scholarship at PHS. It was an ok ceremony...I'm not a fan of Bob Wise but he's alright I guess. I've met him before cause he's a clogger. Haha not a very good one but he is. And is it just me, or does he resemble a rodent? I think he looks like a ferret... But yea that got me out of half of 1st block (English) and Chemistry... and when I got back I went to Chamber, and then stayed in there 4th Block which is Concert Choir, because there was West Liberty's chamber singing for us at the beginning of the block, and I just stayed for the rest of the block because we never do anything in psychology, and Mrs. McClain didn't mind. You know she's probably the teacher I'm going to miss the most. I've had her all three years and I think she's a great teacher and person and yea I will miss her.Anyway, yesterday was pretty exciting here in Parkersburg and especially at South. President Bush came! I didn't get a ticket to see his speech, but it was still cool cause he came in the auditorium afterwards. I had to park at the church because the back parking lot was blocked off by those secret service guys and they were all over the place with their - niffing dogs. But yea after lunch we all went to the auditorium and had to stay there during his speech. We watched it on tv. It was an ok speech, pretty relaxed and I agreed with a lot of what he said. But then afterwards he came into the auditorium to say hello and talk to us, so yea it was really cool. Probably the only time in my life I'll get to see a president so I thought it was cool. He seems like such a nice, normal, guy. Like he'd fit in real well in a town like Parkersburg. If it wasn't for the cameras and secret service guys you'd never think he was a president and I think thats kind of good that he doesn't have an arrogant attitude or anything. But yea I'll probably vote for him. I think he does spend a little too much money, but other than that I think he's doing well, and least wise better than Kerry will, and I don't agree with Kerry on the pro-choice thing at all.
But enough of that... tonight the chamber is singing with PHS's chamber at the luminary ceremony at the city park for the relay for life. I don't really want to go...mostly because it starts at 9:30 and I was up late last night finishing my senior project which I didn't even get to present, and I have to get up early again tomorrow because I'm working the rummage sale from 8-10. But I'm sure I'll live. ;) Tomorrow evening is Wood County Christian's banquet, I'm going with Seth (obviously ;)) But I'm looking forward to getting to see him and spend the evening with him. :D Nicole is going to do my hair, haha although she won't tell me what she's doing and I'm not allowed to see it until its done. :O Kind of scary, but I trust her. ;)
Ok well I've yammered on long enough now. TTFN!
